Extreme Adventure Week
Extreme Adventure Week is a new program at Camp Mattatuck and is designed to give older scouts a chance to experience some of the more challenging aspects of the outdoors. Scouts must be 13 years of age or older to participate and the program is open to both Venture Scouts and Boy Scouts.
The week includes a variety of in-camp activites along with a variety of day trips.
Activies during the week include:
- Waterskiing
- 14-mile moutain biking trek
- Whitewater kayaking
- C.O.P.E. ropes course
- Rock climbing on our famous climbing tower and on real rock cliffs
- Shotgun shooting and muzzle loading
- Geocaching and Orienteering
The week runs from August 3 - 9, 2008. Cost if $305 if paid by 6/2/08 and $335 if paid after 6/2/08.
