Nature Center

The Joe George Memorial Nature Center is a place of endless exploration. Centrally located and looking out over our pincic grove and waterfront, it offers lots of fun activities for all age groups. In the morning, troops can attend programs ranging from nature walks to edible plant identification to track casting. In the afternoon, there are tons of merit badges for all age groups that include fishing, geology, and environmental science (Eagle required). A full list of offered merit badges can be found in the 2008 Summer Program Guide. In addition, the nature center is a great place to start when looking to do some fishing around camp or if your troop is interested in a conservation project.
